Cover Letters (REAL world...)
- Show employer:
- Your writing skills.
- How you are qualified for the position
- Usually submitted with a resume; not giving new info, but highlighting some things on the resume that are relevant to the job you are applying for.
- Check on employer's website for how they want your to submit a cover letter/resume. Most have an "Employment" section.

- Paragraph 1:
- specific position you are applying for
- how you learned about this position
- if you have a contact, mention their name
- why you want to work them.
- Paragraph 2:
- Tell them why/how you are qualified and why you are a strong candidate
- Give examples of your skills and experiences
- Paragraph 3:
- Ask for interview (optional).
- Repeat interest in position.
- Thank them for reviewing your resume.
